Most “best cafes in Jaipur” lists are built the same way: a quick scroll through Instagram, a few photogenic interiors, done. This one isn’t that. Plainly Found’s editorial team lived in Jaipur for over a decade and was last back within the last six months — this is a shortlist built from actually going, more than once, not from how a place photographs. Five cafes, what to order at each, and what each one is actually good for.
Roastery — C Scheme
Order the cranberry cold brew, and if you’re staying for food, the aglio olio pasta holds up. Roastery is a socialising spot more than a work spot — it’s easy to lose an hour here talking, harder to get quiet, focused work done. Go when you want company, not a laptop session.
Carbon — C Scheme / Ashok Nagar
The pesto sandwiches are genuinely good, and the coffee menu goes further than most — the Vietnamese coffee and the whisky barrel cold brew are both worth ordering specifically, not just the standard espresso drinks. Carbon also works as a laptop spot, with one condition: go outside the rush hours, or the tables fill up fast and it stops being a place you can concentrate in.
Taffeta — Tonk Road
Taffeta’s cold brew is one of the strongest in the city — a “hard” style that isn’t for everyone but is worth trying if you like your coffee with more intensity. It’s also, unexpectedly, home to one of the best burgers on this list. If you’re choosing one stop for a proper sit-down coffee-and-food combination, this is a strong candidate.
Breathe — Shyam Nagar
Breathe is the hangout spot on this list — go with friends, not with a deadline. The burgers are reliably good. On the coffee side, the no-milk options are the better order here; if you’re unsure what to get, that’s a safe direction to start from.
Jacob’s Brew House — Jaipur
The most visually distinctive of the five — a rustic, garage-style space that actually earns the aesthetic rather than just performing it. On coffee, the cold brew yuzunade, the Jacob’s Cloud 101 and the pour-over are all worth trying. On food, it’s the strongest all-rounder here: the açaí bowl, the double smash chicken burger, eggs Kejriwal for anyone who eats eggs, and the crispy chilli lotus stems are all worth ordering. If you only have time for one cafe on this list, this is the one that gives you the most reasons to stay.
